Our Chapter
The Delta Sigma Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi was established at Loyola Marymount University in 1959.
Delta Sigma Pi is the only professional business fraternity at LMU that opens exclusively to Business and Economics majors, it is the premier organization that fosters the next generation of prestige business leaders at LMU.
The professional business fraternity is structured upon the four pillars of professionalism, community service, scholarship, and brotherhood. The Delta Sigma chapter at LMU offers driven men and women in the business world the opportunity for professional and career development, access to a large alumni and social network, undergraduate scholarships, faculty connections, and much more.
Fraternity History
As America’s first premier Co-ed business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi was founded in 1907 at New York University, School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance by Harold Valentine Jacobs, Alexander Frank Makay, Alfred Moysello and Henry Albert Tienken.
For more than 100 years, Delta Sigma Pi has inspired, supported, and molded the professional goals and personal aspirations of our members. Our primariy mission as a professional fraternity in business has always been to shape the next generation of business leaders. We are dedicated to develop our members in the four areas of professionalism, scholarship, community service, and brotherhood, such as to develop professional and leadership skills, promoting connection between individuals in the commerce world, and upholding high standards of ethics and civic involvement.
Overtime, Delta Sigma Pi has expanded to nearly 350 collegiate and alumni chapters, with over 285,000 initiated members that remains true to our foundational values. Our enduring heritage and commitment to supporting our members in their professional development continue to make us the world’s leading business fraternity for professionals globally.
Our brotherhood encompasses all individuals from all religious and cultural backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment that welcomes all genders. As a community, we promote social engagement not only among our members, but also within the broader community and business organizations.
